As America's premier leadership development program for girls, today's Girl Scouts develop valuable life and leadership skills by addressing important issues and serving their community.

Girl Scouts is the largest pipeline for future female leaders. We know it works because 4 out of 5 Girl Scouts identify as leaders while only 2 in 5 non-Girl Scouts identify as leaders.

Not every girl is going to be the CEO of a major corporation or the first female president of the United States, but every girl is going to be the CEO of her own life! And she needs the social and emotional skills to make the best decisions to be her best self.

We use our resources to give girls access to skills in four key areas:

Girl Scouts launched a new tool Girl Scouts at Home, a national online platform where all girls and families—not just Girl Scout members—can access free, self-guided activities from Girl Scouts of the USA’s program experts.

The Girl Scout Leadership Experience helps K-12 girls develop personal and leadership skills in four focus areas: STEM, entrepreneurship, life skills and outdoors. When girls participate in Girl Scouts, they develop important social and emotional competencies and leadership skills they need to become successful adults: 1) strong sense of self, 2) positive values, 3) challenge seeking, 4) healthy relationships and 5) community problem-solving.

Girl Scouts at Home, includes a variety of virtual learning experiences that you can sponsor, host or facilitate as a partner. Some examples include:

Badge/Patch Workshops
Service Projects
Virtual Camp Outs and Sing-a-longs
Adult Training and Coaching

Fund the Girl Experience toggle arrow

Membership ($25)

Girl Scouts is open to all girls in grades K-12. Annual membership dues are $25 for a girl to become a member of Girl Scouts of the USA. Financial assistance to girls whose families cannot afford to pay so that no girl is left out of Girl Scouts.

Girl Scout Starter Kit ($50)

Purchase a basic uniform, which includes a sash, Girl Scout membership pin, troop I.D. and troop numbers and a Girl‘s Guide to Girl Scouting book for a girl who cannot afford it.

Community Scholarship Series ($200)

The Community Scholarship Program engages low-income and minority girls, who receive a full scholarship to become a member of Girl Scouts and participate in a Girl Scout enrichment program offered after school. Targeted schools have a high percentage of free and reduced lunch and high minority population.

Camp Scholarship ($300)

Girl Scouts offers a variety of outdoor adventure experiences, including troop camping, day camp, and resident camp. It costs approximately $300 to attend one week of resident camp during the summer.

More than 300 girls in grades 4-12 attend hands-on STEM workshops led by women in STEM fields/majors to improve their STEM skills and confidence and increase their interest in STEM careers.

Purchasing Girl Scout Cookies is a great way to thank employees, customers and clients. When you buy a box of cookies, you are helping girls develop important financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Girl Scout Gold Award Ceremony

The Gold Award is the highest leadership award for Girl Scouts in high school. We honor Gold Award Girl Scouts each year at special ceremony and luncheon attended by their families and community leaders.
