Including and elevating our Adult and Girl members voices is an essential part of Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road. As a member-led organization, we have many opportunities for members to participate in our governance. One opportunity is serving as a National Delegate.
Become a National Girl Scout Delegate
Every three years Girl Scouts of United States of America (GSUSA) holds a National Convention and National Council Session (Business Meeting). During this business meeting, important work for the organization takes place and every council in the country sends representatives. YOU could be one of those representatives!
National Council Delegates serve an important role for the council. As our representative, you elect the National Board of Directors and National Board Development Committee members, amend the constitution, and vote on important proposals. You also help influence the strategic direction of the Girl Scout movement by providing guidance to the National Board.
The next National Council Session will take place in Washington D.C. July 19-27, 2026, however the selection process for National Delegates starts now! Requirements for becoming a National Delegate include:
- Being 14 years or older by January 25, 2025.
- A United States citizen
- A registered Girl Scout member
- Able to serve the entire three-year term
