Ways to Volunteer
Whether you can give a day, a few weeks, or the whole year, it all starts with you—you’ll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they’re capable of more than they ever imagined. Volunteering is flexible and fun, and you’ll play a huge part in helping to build girls of courage, confidence, and character. Volunteer today!
As a volunteer, you’ll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they’re capable of more than they ever imagined. Your big bright smile, your fierce dedication, your no-limits kindness—every little bit of it makes such a huge difference to the girls you help shape, inspire, and fill with confidence every day as a Girl Scout volunteer.
You’ll be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, helping them develop essential life skills and confidence that will last a lifetime. Imagine the excitement, the impact, the memories made—those are the moments you’ll share at Girl Scouts.

Ways to Volunteer
Troop Leader/Co-Leader
Work with a group of girls and mentor them as they make new friends and develop connections that will last a lifetime.
Troop Volunteers
Assist with some of the many important tasks that keep troops going! Possible responsibilities include carpooling, planning activities, bringing snacks, keeping track of troop money, or helping your troop renew their memberships!.
Juliette Mentor
A Girl Scout Juliette Mentor is a parent/guardian or trusted adult who guides a Juliette (individual Girl Scouts not participating in a troop) through her Girl Scout experience. Mentors lead their girl, just as troop leaders lead their troop.
Cookie Volunteers
Coordinate the annual cookie sale at the troop level. Set up cookie booths, manage inventory and money, and then watch the girls light up when they earn the rewards for being the best cookie sellers ever!
Service Unit Volunteers
Support and mentor adult volunteers in your service unit (a local geographic unit of troops/groups within Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council) as they work with Girl Scouts to create memories they will never forget.
Camp/Seasonal Volunteers
Help the girls explore nature and find the fun outdoors.
