This event is designed to bring deaf awareness to our Girl Scouts and to teach them the basics of sign language. The girls will learn the letters of the alphabet; their names; common words used in daily needs and wants; words for friendship discussions; and of course the Girl Scout Promise! They will have lots of great, colorful reference sheets and a PowerPoint. A special speaker will be giving the presentation that just happens to be a troop leader!! The girls will earn a fun patch at the end of the event!
