Swift Camp Creek Clean-Up - Campton, KY
Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road is excited to partner with the Kentucky Waterways Alliance and the Friends of Red River to offer a FREE Badge Earning Activity for all levels of Girl Scouts. The Swift Camp Creek Clean-Up will be on August 2, 2025. Check-In will begin at 8:30am at Campton City Park. The clean-up will be 9am-12pm. Free t-shirt, snacks, coffee, and lunch will be provided for all volunteers and all levels of Girl Scouts are welcome. Girls will ride in a shuttle to a location approximately 1 mile from the meeting spot and walk in the stream and on the banks cleaning up trash.Change the world and help protect Kentucky Waterways. *Please note: After check-in you will be split into groups and divided into 1 of three shuttles going to different locations approximately 1 mile from the meeting spot. If you are registering multiple girls or as a troop please list the leader/adult as the main name and fill in other participant names in the multiple person section of the registraion form.
*Parents/Adults must participate with the girls.
*All participants must fill out the Girl Scouts High Risk Form and present a hard copy at check-in.

*Safety and Clean-Up Equipment/Supplies will be provided but please see following list of what else you will need to bring/wear.
-Wear closed-toed shoes that you don't mind getting wet
-Wear long pants and bright colors for safety
-Bring sunscreen and bug spray
-Bring reusable water bottle
-Consider bringing a change of clothes for afterwards, you may get dirty
-Work gloves if you want to use them.
Note: There will be several groups of people volunteering for this event and will not just be Girl Scouts participating in the clean up efforts.
