Grown Up Girl Scouts

Join us as a Grown Up Girl Scout!

Grown Up Girl Scouts (GUGS) is an new opportunity for adults to get together for an activity and enjoy being a Girl Scout for an hour or more. GUGS gatherings will be offered at the same time and location as a girl event. Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road is inviting adults who bring their young Girl Scout to an event to stay on-site and have fun with other adults. The fun doesn't stop there! Any adult can attend!

Yes and no. Registered Girl Scouts will attend for free. Other adults will be charged a small registration fee (specific program costs will determine the low-cost fee).

Who will lead these events? toggle arrow

A GUGS Team will choose events that will cover a variety of interests. A Team Leader will carry out the event with assistance from other GUGS members.

What are the requirements for being on the GUGS Team? toggle arrow

GUGS Team Members must (1) be a registered Girl Scout and (2) love Girl Scouting and be willing to share with adults that are attending events.

A GUGS Team Leader will be teaching a skill or interest that they already have or are willing to learn prior to the event. Team Members will assist the Team Leader and also talk with participants during the event. If you prefer to participate behind the scenes, you might help with correspondence, data analysis, or purchase and assemble supplies. Any and all help is welcomed!
