Wilderness First Aid Training
Build the skills and confidence you need to respond to injuries and medical emergencies in the outdoors with Wilderness First Aid training. This hands-on course focuses on practical first aid skills for situations where professional medical help may not be immediately available.
Participants will learn how to assess injuries and illnesses, make treatment decisions, and develop strategies for providing care in an outdoor environment. Training will include hands-on practice and realistic scenarios designed to prepare participants for emergencies in the backcountry.
Date: Saturday, November 7 - Sunday, November 8, 2026
Time: Saturday: 8:00 AM-6:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Location: Woodview Lodge, 3775 Newman Road, Lexington, KY
Cost: $100 per person
Important: Participants must have current CPR/AED certification to complete Wilderness First Aid training. The CPR/AED class offered on Friday, November 6, from 6:00-9:00 PM is available for an additional $40.
Participants may stay on-site at Woodview Lodge or commute each day. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided Saturday, with breakfast and lunch provided Sunday.
