Program funded by: Pallottine Foundation of Huntington
Hosted at the Ashland Town Center (Girl Scout Makerspace), this Halloween-themed event will feature Dory the Therapy Dog, a community pet parade, educational stations, and costume contests for both pets and girls. Scouts will learn how animals help people physically, socially, and emotionally. Special emphasis will be placed on therapy animals and the role they play in reducing stress, anxiety, loneliness, and isolation. Through hands-on interactions and discussions, girls will explore empathy, responsibility, emotional support, and the special bond between people and animals. Prizes will be awarded for pet and costume categories while girls focus on how therapy animals support others.
**FREE program for 4th-5th grade students (badge included)**
