GSKWR is sharing interim COVID-19 Guidance for Volunteers that wish to return to in person troop meetings and activities. GSKWR may modify this guidance at any time as circumstances may change within our communities.

Face Coverings Update:

Indoors: When people wear a mask correctly, they protect others as well as themselves. Consistent and correct mask use is especially important indoors and in crowded settings when physical distancing cannot be maintained.  We are requesting that while our state is in a continual upsurge in Covid cases that all participants in Girl Scout activities, vaccinated or unvaccinated, wear a face covering when meeting indoors.  If we see a significant decline in cases, then we will alter this recommendation, however at this time please take the recommended steps to protect each other.

Troop Meetings and Events:

We encourage volunteers, caregivers and girls to follow all regular Girl Scout health and safety guidelines, and follow the guidance of official health sources like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state health authorities.

Be a source of comfort and calm for girls:

  • Girl Scouts of the USA has developed a helpful resource for How to Talk to Your Girl About Coronavirus to help minimize stress and worry in your Girl Scout’s life and to give her a sense of calm and control.
  • Thank you for your help in keeping Girl Scouts a safe, fun space for everyone! If you have questions about how novel coronavirus may impact Girl Scout activities, please contact us at gswrc@gswrc.org—we're here for you.
