Lead a group of girls in the traditional troop setting – planning troop meetings, following the Girl Scout program, mentoring girls while having fun, managing the troop overall

Usually (2) 1-1/2 hour meetings a month (frequency up to leader/girls)
10 hours per month for other matters

Required:  Welcome (classroom or 1-on-1), Girls Scout 101 (online) and Troop Essentials (online)

Elective enrichment courses available.

Background Check every 3 years

Troop Co-Leader/Assistant

Assist the troop leader in the above responsibilities

Each troop must have at least 1 co-leader

Usually (2) 1-1/2 hour meetings a month (frequency up to leader/girls)

Additional hours per month to assist troop leader

Required:  Welcome (classroom or 1-on-1), Girls Scout 101 (online) and Troop Essentials (online)

Elective enrichment courses available.

Collect/maintain troop dues/monies; prepares annual financial report

Run the troop’s cookie sale for girls to raise funds for the troop

Run the fall sale for girls to raise troop funds from limited audience

Troop Camp Trained Adult

Accompany troops/groups on camping trips to ensure proper camping/outdoor cooking procedures are followed while having fun!   Helps prepare troop to go camping.

1-2 week-ends a year

Required Troop Camp Certification.  Online and classroom sessions.

Girl Scout Membership

Background Check every 3 years

First Aider

Certified in First Aid /CPR to accompany troop on outings and camping

1-2 outings in fall and in spring

First Aid /CPR Certification

Trip Chaperone

Accompany troop on outings as driver or to meet adult/girl safety ratios
