GEMS is a Blast for Girl Scientists

A big thank you is owed to the UK Department of Engineering for once again hosting a phenomenally exciting GEMS event! Girls Discovered and Connected with science, technology, engineering and math in a day of experiments and action.

Not only that, but our Girl Scouts have been personally invited to take part in a HAMSTER-3 balloon launch with the University of Kentucky’s Space Systems Laboratory. If you wish to observe or (possibly) participate, be at Jacobson Park in Lexington Kentucky, this Saturday, November 19th, between 9-10 AM. The exact time may vary according to weather conditions, and the date is subject to change. Contact the Space Systems Laboratory for more information.

Check out our latest photos from this year’s GEMS, and don’t be left out next year!
