The Food Chain

  • Grass is eaten by the grasshopper, the grasshopper is eaten by the mouse, the mouse is eaten by the snake, and the snake is eaten by the hawk.
    • This food chain shows that after the hawk dies it is broken down into nutrients, which are released into the soil.
    • With the help of these nutrients, the sun and water cause the grass to grow and the cycle begins again.
