The Food Chain
Grass is eaten by the grasshopper, the grasshopper is eaten by the mouse, the mouse is eaten by the snake, and the snake is eaten by the hawk.
- This food chain shows that after the hawk dies it is broken down into nutrients, which are released into the soil.
- With the help of these nutrients, the sun and water cause the grass to grow and the cycle begins again.
