Ceremonies help us connect to each other, steer our life courses, and perhaps inspire one another to try new directions. They are opportunities for groups to make sense of important moments together. The power of ceremonies is why they're held -- and have always been held -- to mark important events in Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts have ceremonies to mark getting your Daisy Pin, ending the troop meeting, moving from Daisies to Brownies, to celebrate an outdoor experience -- whatever the purpose, every Girl Scout ceremony enables girls to share in a special part of Girl Scout history and create their own special memories.
